Careers in music are often associated more with starving artists than stars. We, the Music & Technology majors of Stevens Institute of Technology, have set out to educate the youth of America in the ways of the clandestine order of behind-the-scenes careers that make the music industry possible.

We have developed an educational in-school career enrichment program called Music Industry 101. Named in honor of an old course at our university, this program is geared toward teaching your students that there are plenty of available careers in the industry outside of the performance aspect.

In these assemblies, we cover topics such as live sound engineering, studio production, promotion and marketing, music business law, songwriting, and artist management. We reinforce the topics covered with live musical performances that each exhibits some of the points made in the preceeding discussion.

Our previous clients all agree that the climax of our show comes when we present one (or a group) of your students with the opportunity to perform live for their peers. Their performance is recorded live and presented to them on CD at the end of the program. The selected students are offered a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience the music industry first hand with our engineers at the helm.
